Eligibility
- Students must already have passed a preliminary exam for careers in mountain sports
- Students must be enrolled for the General Core Exam for Mountain Sports with the DDJS (Departmental Directorate for Youth and Sports)
Course contents and structure
- Evolution, organisation and regulation of sport in France
- Knowledge of the mountain environment: basic ecology, geology, flora, fauna, human environment, snow conditions, weather
- Topography and orientation
- Anatomy and physiology applied to mountain sports (the basics necessary for the exam)
- Pedagogy and group dynamics
- Examination scenarios (written exam topics, preparation for the oral)
